Super Double Yakuman is one of those deep-cut mahjong games for the SNES that never made it outside Japan. If you're into riichi mahjong, it's got that classic 90s pixel art vibe with a surprisingly solid AI—though good luck figuring out the menus if you don't read Japanese. The music’s got that weirdly catchy, repetitive charm, and the CPU opponents actually put up a decent fight once you get past the initial confusion.
First time I booted it up, I just mashed buttons until something happened, but after a few rounds, the tile patterns started making sense. Still, this isn’t the kind of game you casually pick up unless you’re already into mahjong or love digging through obscure retro imports. It’s definitely more of a niche pick than something like Clubhouse Games.
