Super Cup Soccer on SNES is basically Goal! with a fresh coat of paint—because, let’s be real, every SNES game needed "Super" slapped on the title. The gameplay’s straightforward: pick a national team, run down the pitch, and try not to whiff every shot like I did at first. The controls are a little stiff compared to later soccer games, but there’s something charming about the chunky sprites and that classic SNES crowd noise.
It’s not the deepest soccer sim out there, but if you’re into retro sports games, it’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t expect FIFA-level realism.
