Super Conflict: The Mideast is one of those old-school SNES war games that feels like a mix between Risk and chess—but with way more explosions. You pick a side (Israel, Iraq, etc.), drop units onto a hex grid, and try to outmaneuver the other guy. Tanks, infantry, planes—they all move differently, and terrain actually matters, which I didn’t expect at first. The AI’s not bad, either—it’ll flank you if you leave a weak spot.
Graphics are basic, but the fog of war keeps things tense. Nothing like sending a scout unit into the desert only to stumble right into enemy artillery. Played it on an emulator recently, and it still holds up if you’re into slower, tactical stuff. Just don’t expect flashy cutscenes or voice acting.
