Super Chinese Fighter is one of those weird little SNES fighting games that slipped under the radar—it's got all the characters from the Super Chinese RPGs duking it out in a surprisingly decent 2D fighter. The roster's small but quirky, with fighters tossing dumplings and pulling off moves that feel like they were designed by someone who just really loved food puns.
At first glance, it looks like a budget Street Fighter clone, but there's a weird charm to it—the animations are janky in that early '90s way, and the stages have this bright, almost garish color palette. I remember picking the ninja guy first because, well, ninja, but then realizing the chef character could literally throw a wok at people and never looked back.
It's not gonna blow your mind, but if you're into obscure fighting games or grew up with the Super Chinese series, it's a fun little time capsule. Just don't expect tournament-level depth.
