Super Chase H.Q. on SNES is one of those arcade-style racers where you're basically a cop playing bumper cars with criminals. You start off weaving through traffic, trying to catch up to some punk in a sports car—then once you're close enough, you just start slamming into their rear bumper until their car explodes. Classic.
The controls are simple, but the traffic gets wilder as you go, and the later stages throw in some ridiculous obstacles. I remember getting stuck on the third level because some truck decided to park sideways across the highway. Not exactly realistic police work, but who cares when it’s this satisfying to wreck bad guys.
It’s got that early ‘90s arcade vibe—loud, fast, and totally over-the-top. The music’s cheesy in the best way, too.
