About Super Buster Bros. (beta)
Super Buster Bros. came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed and published by Capcom. It was part of that early wave of SNES titles, a time when developers were figuring out what the new hardware could do. You saw a lot of arcade-style games making the jump to home consoles, and this was one of them.
You control a hunter at the bottom of the screen, aiming a harpoon gun upward. Your main goal is to clear each single-screen stage of all the bouncing bubbles. The core mechanic is popping these bubbles by shooting them; a single hit makes them split into smaller, faster bubbles until they vanish. You also have a limited supply of nets to capture special items or temporarily freeze the action. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty ramps up as the screen gets more crowded with unpredictable bounces. It feels like a constant, frantic calculation of angles and timing.
