Super Billiard Championship Pool on SNES is one of those games that nails the feel of real pool without overcomplicating things. The physics are surprisingly solid for a 16-bit game—you can actually pull off spin shots and bank shots if you get the angles right. The overhead view makes lining things up way easier than some of those awkward 3D pool games that came later.
First thing you’ll notice is how clean the table looks, with crisp ball colors and that satisfying *clack* sound when you sink one. There’s a few different modes, but I always end up just playing straight 8-ball against the CPU. The AI isn’t a pushover either—miss an easy shot and they’ll run the table on you.
It’s not flashy, but if you want a no-nonsense pool game that holds up, this is the one to grab.
