Super Battleship on SNES is basically two games in one. You’ve got the classic turn-based guessing game we all played as kids—place your ships, call out coordinates, hope you don’t get blown to bits first. But then there’s this weirdly deep "Super" mode where it turns into a full-on naval sim. Suddenly you’re managing fuel, radar range, even torpedo angles like some kind of admiral. Took me a few tries to figure out why my destroyers kept running out of gas mid-battle.

The pixelated explosions somehow feel more satisfying than the real board game, and the computer actually puts up a fight. Just don’t expect fancy cutscenes—it’s all grids and blips, but in that nostalgic early-90s way. If you ever wanted to overcomplicate sinking boats, this is your chance.
