Super Bases Loaded II is one of those SNES baseball games that somehow nails the arcade feel while still keeping things just realistic enough. You pick your team—I always went with the Crushers because their logo looked mean—and jump right into crisp, colorful games where the pitches actually feel fast and the fielding isn’t a total mess. The batting camera zooms in just right when you swing, and there’s something satisfying about hearing that *crack* when you connect.
It’s not the deepest baseball sim out there, but the controls are tight, and the AI doesn’t feel cheap. Plus, the season mode actually keeps track of stats, which was a big deal back then. If you’re into 16-bit sports games, this one holds up way better than most.
