Super Bases Loaded 3 is one of those SNES baseball games that feels a little rough around the edges but still has its charm. The pitching mechanics take some getting used to—you’ve got to time your button presses just right, or that fastball ends up right down the middle for an easy hit. Batting’s a bit more forgiving, though, and there’s something satisfying about nailing a home run with that classic SNES crack of the bat.

It’s not the prettiest baseball game out there, but the team rosters and stats give it a bit of depth if you’re into that. The fielding can be janky, especially when trying to chase down fly balls, but once you get the hang of it, it’s not too bad. If you’re nostalgic for 90s baseball games, this one’s worth a few innings.
