Alright, so Super Alfred Chicken is one of those weird, charming SNES platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this goofy chicken—Alfred, obviously—who’s gotta rescue his bird buddies from these robotic chicken enemies (because why not?). The controls are simple—jump, peck, and occasionally use weird power-ups like a boxing glove or a bubble shield—but the levels get surprisingly tricky.
The art style is bright and cartoony, with these weirdly detailed backgrounds full of farm stuff and mechanical junk. At first, it feels like a standard hop-and-bop game, but then you hit a level where you’re bouncing on floating eggs or dodging conveyor belts, and suddenly you’re like, “Oh, this is actually kinda clever.”
It’s not the hardest SNES game out there, but it’s got enough weird energy and unexpected challenges to make it worth a play. If you dig quirky retro platformers, Alfred’s your guy.
