Super Adventure Island is that classic SNES platformer where you play as Master Higgins, hopping across tropical islands while dodging coconuts, angry crabs, and those weird little dudes who throw bones at you. It’s got that bright, cartoony look, but don’t let that fool you—some of those jumps are brutal if you don’t time them right.

You start off with just a basic attack (a little axe toss), but grab a power-up and suddenly you’re slinging fireballs or spinning like a tornado. The music’s this weird mix of steel drums and synth that somehow works, and the levels get wild fast—one minute you’re on a beach, the next you’re dodging lava in a volcano. It’s not the deepest game, but it’s got that old-school charm where you’ll replay a level five times just to nail the perfect run.
