About Supapoon (japan)
Supapoon came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Yutaka. It was one of many action platformers on the system, arriving late in the SNES lifecycle when developers were pushing the hardware in interesting ways.
You control a small, round character navigating a series of single-screen rooms. The main goal is to collect all the items in a stage to unlock the exit while avoiding enemies and environmental hazards. Your primary tool is a hammer, which you use to smash blocks directly in front of you and stun enemies. The level design is built around this, often requiring you to carefully break a path or trap foes before proceeding. The game is methodical; you cannot rush, as a single hit means losing a life. It feels like a deliberate puzzle box where every hammer swing matters.
