Street Racer on SNES is pure chaos in the best way possible. You pick from these weirdly charming racers—some look like they escaped from a Saturday morning cartoon—and then it’s just pedal-to-the-metal madness. The tracks twist and turn like someone designed them while drinking too much soda, and yeah, you can totally shove other cars off the road. No rules here.
What surprised me was how much personality the game has. One character drives a literal sofa on wheels, and another’s car looks like a slice of pizza. The controls take a lap or two to get used to, but once you’re sliding around corners and slamming into rivals, it clicks. Also, eight players? Good luck convincing seven friends to crowd around a SNES, but if you pull it off, it’s glorious anarchy.
Don’t expect polished realism—this is arcade-style racing where the fun comes from barely controlled disaster. You’ll unlock crazier tracks the more you play, including one that loops upside down like a rollercoaster. Just try not to flip your own couch in real life when you barely win by a bumper.
