Street Hockey '95 (Beta) was a 1994 release for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed and published by GTE Entertainment. It arrived during a period when the SNES library was diversifying, offering a take on street hockey that stood apart from the more polished sports titles of the era.

You control a team of five players on a top-down rink, aiming to score more goals than the opposing team. The game uses a simple pass-and-shoot system; you maneuver your player with the D-pad, pass the puck with one button, and take a shot with another. A signature mechanic is the ability to perform a slap shot, which is more powerful but less accurate, and you can also check opponents to temporarily knock them off the puck. The pacing is fast, with the puck constantly in motion, and the difficulty can be unforgiving as the computer-controlled opponents react quickly and capitalize on mistakes. Playing it feels like a frantic, back-and-forth scramble where a single lucky shot can change the entire game.
