You control a team of five players on a top-down rink, aiming to score more goals than the opposing team. The game uses a simple pass-and-shoot system; you maneuver your player with the D-pad, pass the puck with one button, and take a shot with another. A signature mechanic is the ability to perform a slap shot, which is more powerful but less accurate, and you can also check opponents to temporarily knock them off the puck.
