About Stealth
Stealth came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Hect. It was one of those action platformers that felt right at home on the SNES, a console full of games trying to push the limits of side scrolling. You don't hear about it as much as some other titles from that time, but it had its own particular style.
You control a ninja named Kage, moving screen by screen through enemy fortresses. Your main goal is to rescue a kidnapped scientist, which means fighting through guards and navigating tricky platforming sections. You have a sword for close combat and a limited supply of shurikens for attacking from a distance. The levels are designed like mazes, often requiring you to find keys to unlock doors and progress. The pacing is deliberate; you can't just rush in, as enemies are placed to catch you off guard and the platforming demands precision. It feels tense and methodical, where a single mistake can send you back to the start of a challenging section.
