Stargate on SNES is one of those weird movie tie-ins that kinda does its own thing. Yeah, it's got the whole ancient portal and Egyptian vibes from the film, but gameplay-wise it's a pretty straightforward run-and-gun shooter. You play as this soldier blasting through alien-infested corridors, which honestly feels more like Contra than anything else.
The graphics are decent for a 16-bit era game—lots of sandy ruins and weird sci-fi tech. Controls are tight, though some of the enemy patterns can feel cheap after a while. If you're into old-school shooters with a sci-fi twist, it's not bad, just don't expect a deep story or anything. The French and German text options are there, but you won't miss much if you stick with English.
