Star Trek - The Next Generation - Future's Past (europe) Game
📅 1994 ✍️ Spectrum HoloByte

So, Star Trek: The Next Generation - Future's Past on SNES is basically the same game as the Genesis version, Echoes from the Past, but someone decided to crank the difficulty up to "Klingon bloodwine hangover" levels for no reason. Like, same story, same crew, same missions—but suddenly, every enemy ship hits like a photon torpedo to the face.
You start off thinking, "Hey, I’ve got Picard and the Enterprise, how bad can it be?" Then you get shredded in the first space battle because shields recharge slower than a sleepy Geordi after an all-nighter in engineering. The controls feel just a tiny bit off too, like the phasers have this weird delay that wasn’t there in the Genesis version.
If you’re a masochist or a completionist, maybe give it a shot, but otherwise, stick with the Genesis one. This port’s more frustrating than trying to explain warp theory to Harry Mudd.
