Star Fox on SNES was way ahead of its time—those chunky polygonal spaceships felt like magic back in '93. You're Fox McCloud, leading a squad of animal pilots through these wild on-rails shooter levels, blasting enemy fighters and dodging asteroids. The frame rate chugs a bit (okay, a lot), but there's something charming about how hard it pushes the Super Nintendo's limits.
First mission throws you right into the action—barrel rolls, laser fire, and that iconic "do a barrel roll!" voice clip burned into your brain forever. The branching paths give it replay value too—take the easy route or risk the harder levels for better scores. Just don't expect it to look pretty by today's standards.
Still holds up as a nostalgia trip if you can handle the jank.
