Star Command Revolution is a real-time strategy game released in 1997 for MS-DOS. Developed by Metropolis Digital, Inc. and published by GT Interactive Software Corp., the game presents a science fiction setting viewed from a bird's-eye perspective. It integrates traditional resource management and unit command mechanics with direct arcade-style shooting sequences.

Players command a fleet, beginning with a limited selection of units that includes a mothership for construction and resource harvesting, a space station for producing vessels, a research facility, and scout ships. Progression involves unlocking over sixty additional ship and structure types by positioning the mothership near the research building, though this temporarily limits resource gathering due to the short range of its collection drone. Gameplay success depends on effectively combining different ship classes to overcome opponents. The game features two primary modes: standalone skirmishes on one of ten maps against up to three opponents, and a campaign where one or two players navigate a non-linear map of sectors.

In the campaign mode, the objective is to locate and destroy four enemy dreadnoughts and defeat the antagonist Warlord Narvek across thirty to forty maps. Players travel between sectors using designated hyperspace exits, with completing a sector granting new capabilities such as advanced ship types or increased resource deposits. Destroying a dreadnought provides the additional benefit of allowing the player's mothership to repair itself. Resource management is a constant factor, with skirmishes designed around limited supplies that typically result in matches concluding within a short timeframe.
