Spider-Man & Venom: Separation Anxiety is one of those classic SNES beat 'em ups where you just wade through waves of goons, tossing them around like ragdolls. It’s got that satisfying arcade-style brawler feel—Venom’s tendril attacks are way more brutal than Spidey’s web shots, but both are fun in their own way.
What makes it stand out is the co-op mode. Grabbing a buddy and tearing through levels together is way better than going solo, especially when you pull off those accidental team-up moves (or accidentally smack each other mid-combo). The animations are a little stiff by today’s standards, but the comic book-style cutscenes still hold up.
It’s not the deepest fighter out there, but if you’re into superhero chaos and old-school button mashing, this one’s a solid time. Just don’t expect a deep story—most of the fun comes from wrecking everything in sight.
