Okay, so Speedy Gonzales: Los Gatos Bandidos is basically Sonic the Hedgehog if he were a tiny Mexican mouse with a sombrero. You zip through these colorful side-scrolling levels at ridiculous speeds, dodging cats (of course) and freeing your mouse buddies trapped in cages. The controls take a second to get used to—Speedy slides around like he’s on butter sometimes—but once you get the hang of it, blasting past enemies and bouncing off walls feels pretty satisfying.
It’s got that classic Looney Tunes chaos, complete with exaggerated animations and goofy sound effects. Some of the later levels get surprisingly tough, especially when the cats start throwing everything at you. Not gonna lie, I got stuck on one where you have to outrun a rolling cheese wheel while jumping over gaps. Still, it’s a fun little SNES gem if you’re into fast-paced platformers with a cartoon twist.
