So Spawn on SNES—yeah, the comic book antihero finally got his own game, and it’s exactly what you’d expect: a gritty, over-the-top beat-em-up where you punch, slash, and chain-grab your way through waves of thugs and demons. The controls feel a little stiff at first, but once you get used to Spawn’s heavy swings and that brutal cape animation, it clicks.
You start off in some grimy alley, and within seconds, you’re tossing dudes into dumpsters or impaling them with those signature chains. The art style nails the comic’s dark vibe, all shadows and neon highlights, though some of the levels blur together after a while. Boss fights are where it shines—huge, screen-filling monsters that actually make you think instead of just button-mashing. Not the deepest brawler out there, but if you’re into Spawn or just want something meaner than Final Fight, it’s a solid time.
