Space Funky B.O.B. is one of those weird, forgotten SNES gems—it’s a side-scrolling shooter with a bizarre sense of humor. You play as B.O.B., this little robot dude with a gun for an arm, blasting through levels packed with aliens, traps, and some seriously goofy sound effects. The controls take a second to get used to (jumping feels a little floaty), but once you do, it’s oddly satisfying to bounce around and unload bullets into giant mutant frogs.
Japan got the better version, by the way—smoother animations, extra enemies, and some tweaks that make the whole thing less frustrating than the US release. If you’re into quirky 90s action games with a side of nonsense, this one’s worth a few hours of your time. Just don’t expect it to take itself seriously.
