Okay, so Soccer Kid on SNES is basically what happens if Sonic and Mario had a weird sports-themed cousin. You’re this little dude in a striped jersey bouncing around levels, kicking soccer balls at enemies—which sounds simple, but the physics actually make it kinda satisfying when you nail a long shot. The whole thing started as a scrapped idea for a Mad Professor Mariarti sequel, which explains the slightly offbeat vibe.
It’s got that early ‘90s platformer energy—bright colors, floaty jumps, and a few frustrating moments where you swear the ball should’ve hit that enemy. Later, the same concept got recycled into Marko’s Magic Football, but this version feels a bit tighter, even if it never blew up like Nintendo or Sega’s mascots. Definitely one of those “wait, why wasn’t this more popular?” games.
