About Slayers (japan)
Slayers came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Banpresto. It was part of that wave of mid-90s RPGs on the system, based on the fantasy comedy series of the same name.
You control Lina Inverse and her party, moving through towns and dungeons on a world map. Your main goal is to stop a sorcerer's resurrection, which involves exploring locations screen by screen, fighting monsters in turn-based battles, and gathering key items to progress. Combat uses a menu system where you select spells or sword attacks for each character. The pacing is deliberate, with dungeons that require careful mapping and resource management. It feels like a solid, traditional RPG from that period.
