Man, Bart's Nightmare is one of those weird, janky SNES games that somehow sticks with you. You start off as Bart falling asleep over his homework (relatable), and then boom—you're sucked into this chaotic dream world full of random mini-games. One second you're dodging giant babies in a diaper, the next you're flipping through a comic book as Bartman. It’s all over the place, but in a way that kinda works?
The controls can be a little rough—especially in the Itchy & Scratchy segment where you’re just mashing buttons to survive—but there’s something charming about how unhinged it is. The music’s catchy too, especially that main theme. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand; half the fun is figuring out what the heck you’re even supposed to do next. If you’re into weird ‘90s nostalgia trips, this one’s a trip worth taking.
