Shien's Revenge is one of those SNES action games that flew under the radar but has this weirdly satisfying combat system. You play as a lone warrior slicing through waves of enemies—think ninja meets beat 'em up, but with way more precision. The controls feel tight, and there's something oddly satisfying about nailing the timing on those counterattacks.
First few minutes? You're dropped right into the chaos—no hand-holding, just you, a sword, and a bunch of guys who really don’t like you. The sprites are chunky in that classic SNES way, and the music has this tense, driving rhythm that keeps you moving. It’s not the deepest game, but it’s got this raw energy that makes it hard to put down once you get into the flow.
If you dig old-school action with a side of challenge, this one’s worth a swing.
