About Shien's Revenge (beta)
Shien's Revenge came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Vic Tokai. It was part of that wave of action games that tried to capture the feel of titles like The Legend of Zelda, offering a top-down adventure on a system known for them.
You control a lone warrior navigating a world screen by screen, using a sword for close combat and a bow for distant enemies. Your main goal is to explore dungeons, defeat bosses, and collect pieces of an artifact to progress. The game requires careful movement through rooms that reset with enemies when you leave, and you must manage your health and arrows. It moves at a deliberate pace and can be quite difficult, demanding patience as you learn enemy patterns and dungeon layouts.
