Okay, so Shaq Fu on SNES is... an experience. You play as Shaq—yes, that Shaq—throwing punches and kicks like some kind of basketball-turned-martial-arts legend. The story? Something about rescuing a kid from an evil mummy, but let’s be real, you’re here to see Shaq uppercut a werewolf.
The fighting feels stiff compared to stuff like Street Fighter, but there’s a weird charm to it. Special moves involve Shaq yelling things like "Boom shakalaka!" while dunking on opponents. The roster’s full of bizarre characters, like a disco guy and a literal demon, which makes fights unpredictable (and kinda hilarious).
Is it a good fighting game? Not really. But is it memorable? Absolutely. You’ll either hate it or love it for how ridiculous it is. Either way, it’s a weird little piece of ‘90s nostalgia that’s hard to forget.
