Shadowrun for the Super Nintendo came out in 1993, developed by Beam Software. It was part of that wave of early 90s games trying to translate complex tabletop roleplaying systems onto a console, a pretty ambitious goal for the 16-bit era.

You control a mercenary in a near-future Berlin, investigating your brother's murder. The game is played from an isometric perspective, moving screen by screen through the city's streets and corporate facilities. A lot of your time is spent talking to contacts in bars to get information, hiring other shadowrunners for backup, and engaging in real-time combat with guns and magic against gangs and security forces. You also jack into the Matrix, a cyberspace represented by abstract wireframe grids, to hack systems and bypass security. The pace is deliberate, almost methodical, because you are constantly managing your finances, cyberware, and reputation. It feels like piecing together a dangerous puzzle where a wrong move can leave you dead in an alley.
