About Shadowrun (beta)
Shadowrun came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Beam Software. It was a time when the console was full of fantasy adventures, but this one dropped you into a rainy, neon-lit city straight out of a cyberpunk novel.
You control a mercenary named Jake, investigating his brother's murder. The game plays out in an isometric view, moving screen by screen through the dangerous streets of Seattle. You talk to contacts in the shadows, hack into corporate computer systems, and get into real-time fights with guns and magic. The main goal is to gather clues and survive long enough to find out who is behind the killing. It is not an easy game; the world is hostile, and you will die often if you are not careful. Navigating the city and its complex systems gives the whole experience a gritty, immersive feel.
