Secret of the Stars - Easy Type is one of those weird, mid-tier SNES RPGs that somehow sticks with you. The overworld feels huge when you first start—you’ve got two separate parties wandering around, which is kinda neat until you realize one group is way underleveled. Classic 90s jank.
Graphics are bright and colorful, but don’t expect Chrono Trigger-level polish. The battle system’s straightforward, though some of the spell names sound like someone threw a dictionary at a wall (looking at you, "Flame Saber"). Still, there’s charm in the clunkiness—like finding secret caves full of overpowered gear early on if you’re stubborn enough to grind.
Honestly? It’s not the best RPG on the system, but there’s something oddly satisfying about piecing together its weird little world. Just maybe keep a guide handy for the confusing bits.
