About Secret Of Evermore (spain)
Secret of Evermore came out for the Super Nintendo in 1996, developed by SquareSoft. It was part of that late SNES era where developers were really pushing what the hardware could do, creating these big, atmospheric worlds. This one always stood out because it was one of the few major action RPGs from that time made by an American team at Square.
You control the boy and his shape-shifting dog, exploring the world screen by screen. Your main goal is to find a way back home from the strange, time-lost world of Evermore. You'll do a lot of dungeon delving, fighting monsters in real time with a sword or a bow. One of the signature mechanics is the alchemy system; instead of just finding magic spells, you have to collect ingredients to mix them yourself during combat. The pacing can be deliberate, and some of the boss fights are genuinely tough, requiring you to learn their patterns. It feels like a solitary, thoughtful adventure where every new area holds a mystery to solve.
