Man, Sansara Naga 2 on SNES hits different—it’s one of those RPGs that somehow flew under the radar back in the day. You start off picking between these weirdly specific character classes (I went with the dagger-throwing rogue first, which was a mistake—turns out the mage’s AoE spells are way better for early mobs).
The pixel art’s gorgeous, especially the spell effects—little lightning bolts crackle across the screen like actual SNES sorcery. And the music? That overworld theme still gets stuck in my head. It’s got that classic JRPG grind, but the battles move fast enough that it never feels like a slog. Just don’t expect much hand-holding; the first dungeon will wreck you if you don’t stock up on potions.
Still holds up if you’re into retro RPGs with a bit of jank. The translation’s rough in spots, but that kinda adds to the charm.
