SM Choukyoushi Hitomi Vol. 3 is one of those weird, Japan-only SNES games that never made it overseas—probably because it's a mahjong trainer disguised as a visual novel. You play as Hitomi, a stern but oddly charismatic mahjong instructor who drills you through tile-matching strategies while throwing in some light story beats. The pixel art’s surprisingly detailed for a niche title, and the music’s got that classic SNES synth charm.

At first, I thought it’d be another dry tutorial game, but the AI opponents actually put up a decent fight once you get past the basics.
