Ever stumbled across one of those weird, obscure SNES prototypes? SM Choukyoushi Hitomi is exactly that—a test version of some Japan-only game that never got a full release. The title screen’s all in Japanese, and honestly, I had no clue what I was looking at first. Some kind of sports training sim? Maybe a weird dating game? The pixel art’s got that early '90s charm, though.
Controls are janky, menus make zero sense without a translation guide, and half the mechanics feel unfinished (because, well, they are). But there’s something weirdly fascinating about poking around an abandoned project like this. You’ll mash buttons just to see what random dialogue or animations pop up. Not exactly playable in the traditional sense, but a fun little time capsule if you’re into gaming archaeology.
Definitely more of a curiosity than something you’d actually sit down to beat.
