SD The Great Battle: Aratanaru Chousen came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, a release from Banpresto. It was part of their Compati Hero Series, a crossover that fit right into the era of 16-bit experiments with mixing different character universes.
You choose to control Ultraman, Kamen Rider, or a mobile suit from Gundam, navigating through side-scrolling and top-down stages. Your main goal is to fight through waves of enemies and confront bosses from each series. The gameplay involves platforming, using each character's unique projectile attacks, and switching between them to exploit different abilities. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can be sharp, demanding quick reflexes to manage enemy patterns and environmental hazards.
