About Rusty Rivets: Jungle Rescue
Rusty Rivets: Jungle Rescue was part of the Classic Games on Mobile collection, a release from Nickelodeon and developer iGotcha Media that fit right in with other simple, colorful mobile titles for younger players of its time. It's based on the animated series, placing you in the middle of a jungle adventure.
You control Rusty, and sometimes his friend Ruby, as you navigate through side scrolling jungle levels. Your main goal is to rescue Ranger Anna, which involves running, jumping, and using Rusty's signature ability to build custom gadgets from parts you collect. You tap the screen to construct things like springs to reach high platforms or fans to blow away obstacles. The pacing is steady, with environmental puzzles that require you to figure out which gadget to build and where. It feels like a straightforward, hands on mission where you are constantly tinkering your way forward.
