Rushing Beat Shura is the third game in Jaleco's underrated SNES beat 'em up series, and honestly, it's the one that finally clicks. You've got three characters to pick from—I usually go with the brawler type because his throws feel brutal—and the levels throw these weirdly detailed urban backdrops at you while you punch through waves of thugs. The combo system's simple but satisfying, especially when you juggle someone off a wall.
What surprised me was how much faster it feels compared to the first two games. No more sluggish movement—just straight-up alley brawls with the occasional weapon pickup (baseball bats, pipes, the usual). The music’s got this grungy synth thing going on that somehow fits perfectly. If you’re into SNES-era brawlers, this one’s a hidden punchfest worth your time.
