Rocky Rodent is one of those weird, forgotten SNES platformers that somehow nails the "so bad it's good" vibe. You play as this mohawked rat who can grab power-ups to change his hair—yeah, seriously—into things like a drill or a spring to bounce around levels. The controls are a little janky at first, but once you get used to the way he slides after landing, it kinda grows on you.
The levels are packed with weird enemies (giant walking teeth, anyone?) and some surprisingly tough platforming sections where timing your jumps feels just unfair enough to make you yell at the screen. The music’s got that classic SNES cheese—super upbeat and way catchier than it has any right to be. It’s not a masterpiece, but if you’re into obscure 90s platformers with personality, this one’s a trip.
