Rocky Rodent is one of those weird, hyperactive SNES platformers that feels like it was designed after someone binged too many cartoons. You play as this spiky-haired hamster (or rat? Honestly, not sure) who runs fast, spins like a furry tornado, and occasionally stops to flex for no reason. The levels are full of springs, loops, and enemies that explode into fruit—classic '90s mascot energy.
It's not as tight as Sonic or as polished as Mario, but there's something charming about how over-the-top it is. You'll spend half the time wondering why the main character randomly shouts "ROCKY!" and the other half trying not to faceplant into spikes because the controls are a little slippery. Definitely a product of its era, but in a fun, nostalgic way.
If you're into obscure platformers with attitude, this one's worth a quick playthrough.
