About Rockman X (japan)
Rockman X came out in 1993 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Capcom. It was part of that generation's push for faster, more detailed action games, building directly on the foundation of the original Mega Man series but with a new setting and mechanics.
You control the reploid X, navigating side scrolling stages filled with Maverick robots. Your main goal is to stop Sigma's rebellion by defeating eight Maverick bosses in any order you choose. Signature mechanics include dashing and wall jumping to access new areas, and the ability to acquire a defeated boss's special weapon, which is often another boss's weakness. The game moves at a quick pace and presents a significant challenge, demanding precise jumps and quick reactions to enemy patterns.
