About Rocketeer
Rocketeer came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, developed by IGS, or Information Global Service. It was one of many licensed games from that period, based on the Disney film, and it fit right in with the platform's growing library of action titles.
You control Cliff Secord, the Rocketeer, navigating through side scrolling levels. Your main goal is to stop the Nazis from getting your rocket pack. You fly through stages, shooting enemies with your laser pistol and punching them in close quarters. The game mixes shooting sections with on foot brawling and even some vehicle sequences. It moves at a fast pace, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, with enemies swarming you from all sides. Playing it feels like a hectic scramble through a comic book adventure.
