Rock N' Roll Racing on SNES is basically what happens when you take a top-down racer, stuff it full of missiles and landmines, then blast Black Sabbath over the whole thing. You pick a car (or hovercraft, or monster truck—yeah, it's got those), slap some upgrades on it, and then immediately start lobbing rockets at your friends in 4-player chaos.
The announcer’s this over-the-top guy yelling stuff like "TARQUIN IS DOMINATING!" while Steppenwolf’s "Born to Be Wild" plays in the background. It shouldn’t work, but it absolutely does. And yeah, getting sniped by a homing missile right before the finish line will make you scream, but you’ll also cackle when you’re the one doing the sniping.
This game basically invented "drive fast, blow stuff up, repeat" before Twisted Metal even existed. The soundtrack alone makes it worth a play—just try not to flip your monster truck into lava.
