About Rock N' Roll Racing (beta)
Rock N' Roll Racing came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993 from Blizzard Entertainment. It was a racing game that stood out on the system, not just for its speed but for its whole attitude. You got loud guitar riffs and announcer calls instead of sterile engine noises, which gave it a different vibe from other racers at the time.
You control one of several drivers, each with their own vehicle, racing on tracks set on different planets. The main goal is simple: finish first. The signature mechanics are the weapon pickups you use to blast opponents and the ability to buy upgrades for your car between races, like better tires or stronger weapons. The races are fast and the computer drivers are aggressive, so you are constantly swerving to avoid mines and missiles while trying to stay on the track. It feels like a chaotic, explosive party where you are always one mistake away from spinning out.
