Rock 'n Roll Racing is one of those SNES games that just oozes personality. You hop into a beefed-up car armed with lasers or missiles (because why not?), then tear through dirt tracks while blasting opponents off the road. The controls feel tight—drifting around corners while dropping mines behind you never gets old.
Between races, you’re dumping your winnings into upgrades—better engines, new weapons, even entirely new rides. At first, your car handles like a shopping cart with a rocket strapped to it, but once you start modding, the races get way more chaotic. Oh, and the soundtrack? Pure gold. Crunching metal to "Bad to the Bone" or "Paranoid" just fits perfectly.
It’s basically what would happen if Mad Max had a garage band and decided to settle scores on a racetrack. Still holds up surprisingly well today.
