Robocop 3 on SNES is exactly what you'd expect—a clunky but weirdly satisfying side-scroller where you stomp through Detroit blasting criminals with that iconic auto-9 pistol. The first level throws you right into it: dodging bullets, rescuing hostages (who somehow always walk directly into gunfire), and occasionally stumbling into awkward first-person shooting segments that feel like they forgot to smooth out the controls.
It nails the atmosphere though—gritty industrial backdrops, that classic Robocop soundtrack, and enough explosions to make it feel like a B-movie come to life. Some of the enemy hitboxes are janky, and you'll definitely curse a few cheap deaths, but there's something weirdly charming about how faithfully it captures the vibe of the films. Just don't expect deep mechanics—this is pure 90s arcade-style chaos.
If you grew up with the movies or just love messy retro shooters, it's worth a playthrough for the nostalgia alone.
