About Road Runner
Road Runner on the Super Nintendo came out in 1992, a game developed and published by Sunsoft. It was part of that wave of early SNES titles that tried to capture the feel of classic cartoons, a pretty common goal for the platform at the time.
You control the Road Runner himself, dashing through desert and canyon stages. Your main goal is simply to survive each level, outrunning Wile E. Coyote who is constantly in pursuit. The gameplay is built on speed and evasion; you run automatically, and your inputs are mostly for jumping over gaps, avoiding falling rocks, and dodging the coyote's elaborate traps. You collect bird seed scattered throughout the stages, and grabbing a chili pepper gives you a temporary burst of super speed. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty can be sharp, demanding quick reflexes to navigate the hazards. It feels like a frantic, non-stop scramble from start to finish.
