Road Runner came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed and published by Sunsoft. It was part of that wave of early SNES games that tried to capture the feel of Saturday morning cartoons, a common goal for the platform at the time.

You control the Road Runner himself, dashing through a series of desert and canyon stages. Your main goal is simply to survive each level, which means outrunning Wile E. Coyote from the left side of the screen to the exit on the right. The coyote is constantly on your tail, and he throws an assortment of Acme gadgets at you, like bombs and springs. You can jump over obstacles and collect seeds to power up a temporary speed burst, which is often the only way to create some distance.
